If you’re looking for a run-of-the-mill café experience, let us warn you—Laska Countryside Kitchen & Bar is not the place for you. This restaurant in Chandigarh is guilty of committing some serious ‘crimes’ that might just ruin your expectations of a regular dining experience. So, if you’re someone who enjoys the usual, predictable cafés and restaurants, here are five reasons why you should absolutely NEVER visit Laska.
1. Laska Countryside Kitchen & Bar Chandigarh: Ambience is Too Good to Handle

Sounds exhausting, right? Who needs such a visually stunning atmosphere when you could just sit at a basic, four-walled eatery with fluorescent lights? If you’re not a fan of exotic aesthetics, this place might just be too much for you.

2. Laska Countryside Kitchen & Bar Chandigarh: The Bar is Stocked a Little Too Well
We get it—some people enjoy their drinks. But why does Laska have to make its bar so inviting? With a wide range of well-stocked bottles gleaming under stylish lighting, it’s almost too tempting to indulge. If you prefer to sip on something ordinary and uninspiring, you may find their cocktail selection frustratingly impressive. With so many unique concoctions waiting to blow your mind, Laska Countryside Kitchen & Bar is definitely giving the run-of-the-mill restaurants in Chandigarh a tough fight.

Chandigarh Police is often stationed right outside the restaurant, ready to remind you of that fact. Don’t make the same mistake as P & I, who forgot about this little detail, drove ourselves there, and ended up sipping on lemon soda instead. So, take our advice—give Uber, Ola, or InDrive a shot while you enjoy the frustratingly amazing cocktails at this bar.
3. Laska Countryside Kitchen & Bar Chandigarh: The Menu Has Too Many Choices

If you’re the kind of person who gets overwhelmed by options and would rather stick to one cuisine at a time, Laska’s expansive menu might just give you decision fatigue. For P & I, this is never an issue. We love to explore different cuisines and hence, Laska’s menu made us feel like two kids in a candy store. So many options, such little space in our tummies!

We relished the pink pepper chicken tikka, cottage cheese bok-choy, and a butter chicken so rich and balanced that it made us regret having only two stomachs. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety as we hopped from Asian to North Indian while spending some great moments in the beautiful tropical paradise!
4. The Portions Are Way Too Generous at Laska Countryside Kitchen & Bar
Speaking of regret—why does Laska insist on serving portions that are actually worth the price? The butter chicken we ordered could have easily served three people, but since it was just the two of us, we ended up stuffed beyond belief, all thanks to its power-packed flavours. If you prefer places where you pay a premium for tiny, unsatisfying portions, consider this your warning—Laska is definitely not for you.

Imagine this: You place your order, and before you even have time to scroll halfway through your Instagram feed, your food is already on the table. The nerve of them! Where’s the thrill of waiting impatiently, checking the time, and calling the waiter over and over again? While P & I did feel that the chicken tikka lost a bit of warmth by the time it reached us, overall, the quick service meant we spent more time enjoying our food and less time waiting around. What a disaster-NOT!

With its Bali-like aesthetics, well-stocked bar, diverse menu, generous portions, and efficient service, it might just set a new standard for dining out—and who needs that kind of trouble?
As for P & I, this restaurant is definitely going on our list of favorites. But then again, not everyone appreciates unique places—some prefer sticking to their usual, mundane haunts!
