Whoever said, “a cup of tea makes everything better”, surely made the right observation. Between P and Me, I’m the tea lover. I like my tea as strong as it can be and with a couple of nibbles alongside. So naturally, when a new place like Ketliwala opened up in Sector 22-B, Chandigarh, we had to give it a try.
P may not have been as thrilled about it, but I surely was as excited as a kid in a candy store. And, if you’re wondering how this kid’s Chai Ki Jhappi ka experience at Ketliwala Chandigarh was, we’ve got a lot to talk about. So, sip on your chai and join us for a tea-rrific experience!
A Vibrant Vibe For The Win At This Tea Cafe!
Imagine walking into a bright and vibrant cafe. A cafe that glorifies India’s love for tea using wall art, cute quote frames, artistic doors, a rickshaw canopy and earthen lamps. Doesn’t this capture the Desi vibe in the most perfect sense? Well, this is exactly how I’d like to sum up Ketliwala Chandigarh’s ambience.
Tipping their hat to India’s love for chai (tea), this cafe’s vibe is a clear winner. Without a doubt, many Chandigarh folks would love this place. From cute quote frames about tea to artwork related, everything here will leave you in awe.

Ketliwala’s Gob-smacking Food With Perfect Tea!
A place serving tea needs to get their food right, else it doesn’t nail the vibe. And, at Ketliwala Chandigarh, they’ve managed to not only understand this but also implement it in an impressive way. Their menu serves every street-style nibbles that are bound to be perfect with your tea. From Chai’s perfect companion Bun Maska to Amritsari Kulcha, everything that you may like with your tea is served here.
I went with P and another friend, who also happened to be a tea lover, and we ended up ordering a couple of treats. It included Cutting Chai Teapot (serves 4), spring roll, chilli cheese, pakora basket, street-style chowmein and sev puri. The server was quick to take our order and within 15-20 minutes spring roll, chilli cheese and chowmein was served at our table. And, we dug right in.
The quantity was apt for 3 people and the taste was absolutely spot on. Just like the street-style dishes, all the three dishes were packed with the right amount of flavour. The Pakora basket and sev puri was served in another 10 minutes in basket-like bowls on a leaf. It gave both the dishes an earthen feel.

Though the sev puri could use a little bit more flavour, Pakoras were crispy, tasty and absolutely delicious and together they tasted amazing with our cutting chai, that was served to us in a classic Ketli. And, the experience of pouring them in those little glasses was priceless. Thank you, Ketliwala for this tea-rrific experience!
And, considering how much food we gobbled up, the bill was certainly surprisingly low. We enjoyed 5 delicious treats and a ketli of cutting chai and yet, it didn’t burn a hole in our pocket. This along with amazing vibe, delicious food and authentic tea is how Ketliwala might just trump all competition in the city!
Prinkled’s Parting Thoughts: We’d suggest Ketliwala Chandigarh to everyone who loves tea or doesn’t love tea. It is definitely worth more than just a visit and we feel that many of you might love this place, just like us!
