Hey Bambi Mohali: A Cosy Coffee And Brunch Place Tricity Was Waiting For

Hey Bambi in Mohali

For the longest time, P and I have been noticing how the food scene in Chandigarh keeps changing. Sure, clubs, lounges, and breweries are opening left, right, and center — but a cute little spot for brunch in Chandigarh? That always felt missing. Enter Hey Bambi Mohali. A few months ago, this cosy new cafe in Mohali opened its doors, and suddenly brunch lovers like us had something to look forward to. We finally got a chance to drop by, and honestly, we were like two kids in a candy store. So, without rambling too much, here’s how our coffee and brunch date at Hey Bambi Mohali really went!

Boho chic meets modern scapes!

Let’s face it: brunches have never really received the love they deserve. Who doesn’t want to wake up a tad late on a weekend or holiday, slip into casuals, and head out for a comforting cup of coffee and some delicious tidbits? P and I definitely craved that, so when Hey Bambi Mohali opened up, we were beyond excited. This week, we finally headed there for a special brunch date to celebrate 15 years of knowing each other. Yes, 15 years!

A brunch date for me and my mate!

Walking in, this cafe in Mohali felt instantly warm and inviting. The modern-chic, boho-meets-urban escape looked straight out of Pinterest. Right at the entrance, a cemented pebble path added an earthy, outdoorsy charm — a detail that set the tone beautifully.

We found ourselves a cozy table and began soaking in the Pinterest-y vibes of Hey Bambi Mohali — warm wooden tables, lush indoor greens, and soft lighting that made everything feel dreamier. A side-nook for DJ nights, sip-and-paint sessions, and live acts added a splash of artsy-social energy to the otherwise laid-back brunch vibe. Totally our scene.

Always important: Greens!

Just as we were settling in, a cheerful server named Harish stopped by to greet us, offer water, and hand over the menus. And well, we got straight down to business. More on that in the next section — read on!

P and I love places that don’t overcomplicate menus — and Hey Bambi at Jubilee Walk, Mohali scored brownie points for exactly that. Their menu perfectly matched the boho-chic-meets-modern brunch-and-coffee vibe. From specialty coffees to the latest fad, matcha; breakfast dishes to comfy sandwiches; healthy bowls to wholesome pastas — they had it all. P and I especially loved browsing through their Breakfast at Tiffany’s and coffee section.

We called our server to place our brunch and coffee order. For food, we went all in — Butter Chicken Eggs Benedict, Mery Lu’s Grilled Chicken Super Bowl, Florrent Rigatoni, and Tokyo Chicken Nuggets. For coffee, we chose a Vietnamese Shakerato and the Oh-So-Great Cold Coffee. Harish, our server, took the order with a smile and told us it would be ready in 15–20 minutes. While waiting, P and I slipped into one of our random chit-chat sessions, reminiscing how it had been 15 years of us. Honestly, it’s been a ride — and finding someone who loves good food and coffee as much as you do is rare. I counted my blessings… or at least I did. Winks

Vietnamese Shakterato

Fifteen minutes later, Harish returned with our coffee. While the Cold Coffee was served straight to P, the Vietnamese Shakerato came with a touch of theatrics — the kind you usually see bartenders pulling off. It was shaken right in front of us and poured into a stunning stem glass. It looked absolutely gorgeous. One sip, and we were sold. The coffee at Hey Bambi Mohali had us hooked.

Butter Chicken Eggs Benedict

Next up were the Butter Chicken Eggs Benedict and Mary Lu’s Grilled Chicken Super Bowl — both looking irresistible. We couldn’t hold back any longer and dug right in. The Butter Chicken Eggs Benedict was hands down the best we’ve had. The fusion of desi butter chicken with videsi Eggs Benedict felt like a match made in food heaven. Served with hash browns over soft brioche buns, it was a total winner. Mary Lu’s Grilled Chicken Super Bowl was a wholesome mix of flavour and health. The couscous salad at the base, topped with grilled chicken, sautéed veggies, and edamame, came together beautifully with the light dressing. The chicken was tender and moist, pairing perfectly with our aromatic coffees.

Then came the Florent Rigatoni and Tokyo Chicken Nuggets. The nuggets — served with two punchy dips — were crunchy, juicy, and bursting with flavour. But the Rigatoni? Absolutely gob-smacking. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the parma-rose sauce was so flavourful that even writing about it makes my mouth water. Honestly, I doubt I’ll find a better-made Rigatoni anywhere in the city.

Finally, dessert. You might wonder — after such a heavy brunch, where’s the space for dessert? Let me stop you right there and remind you: there is always room for dessert!

The sweet showstopper!

We went for the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Now, very few cafes in Chandigarh, Mohali, or Panchkula get this right — but Hey Bambi Mohali nailed it and easily makes my top 5. The dessert looked like something out of a dream: a soft date cake floating in a sea of luscious caramel, topped with creamy, flavourful ice cream. It looked so inviting, P and I almost heard it calling our names. Within 5 minutes, it was gone. And trust me when I say this — it was the best toffee pudding we’ve ever had. An absolute must-try at Hey Bambi. Prinkled approved!
