Invest In Good Friends
The key thing that makes us like or not like a new workplace or a new city is the ability to find like-minded people to call friends. For Emily, first Mindy, then Gabriel and slowly, Camille, Antoine, Sylvie, Luc and Julienne seemed to have made it hard to take that return flight to Chicago with Madeline. Mindy, who didn’t just be her friend but also her roommate and a bestie, was always there for her. She even took a stand against her boyfriend when he insulted Emily at a party and asked her to leave. And, Gabriel always remained a friend in need whenever Emily was stuck with anything. He even offered her a job when Sylvie fired her for a bit. Luc and Julienne had her back since they got to know her better and even helped her comeback at Savoir aka Agence Grateau. And, well, Emily also doesn’t disappoint any of her friends too. She is there for each and everyone of them. And, even if she makes any mistakes, she quickly makes up for it with them. Now, that’s a friendship lesson we all need to swear by!
Never Give Up
Let’s just all agree to the fact that Emily was quite a go-getter! Whenever a challenge was thrown at her, be it by her boss Sylvie or due to messy situations between Gabriel, Camille and her, she always found a way to make it work. Be it coming up with a perfect pitch to save the day or getting the editor of La Liste magazine to interview Sylvie, Emily never gave up. She even managed to convince Nicholas from JVMA to give her agency a chance, despite them keeping their marketing in-house. Now, that’s what you call truly never giving up!
Don’t Be Afraid To Express Your Mind
With a creative mind like Emily’s, it would be a shame to keep all those beautiful thoughts to yourself. Emily, on the show, never ever let any inhibition come in the way of her speaking out. Be it in front of Antoine when he shot for his perfume campaign with a naked model or when she confronts Camille about her affair with Sophia, Emily never ever kept things to herself and only spoke truly what she felt. In life, many a time, we’re faced with situations where we feel we shouldn’t speak our mind as it may be against what most feel or due to other inhibitions or insecurities. And, well, it may prove to be a loss in the long run. Hence, Emily ends up teaching us all that beautiful things can happen when you express yourself!
