So much has been said and written, and so many reels have gone viral on Instagram over the past few months about this relatively new rooftop restaurant, Diroma Panchkula. But is it really worth the hype created all over social media? Well, P and I, your very own curious gourmands, decided to find out one fine Sunday afternoon. For the longest time, we’ve been scouting for the perfect rooftop café in Chandigarh and the surrounding area.
However, the rooftop scene in the city has been quite disappointing. Naturally, when we saw so many posts and videos about Diroma going viral, we decided to give it a try once the initial buzz had settled. And today, here we are with our take on this aesthetically pleasing café by day and lounge bar by night. So, here we go!
Diroma Panchkula: Tricity’s Rooftop Bar & Kitchen That’s More Than Meets the Eye!
When it comes to rooftop restaurants in Chandigarh and the surrounding areas, there seems to be a persistent dearth. However, when Diroma Panchkula opened, we were secretly hoping all our rooftop café dreams would come true. When we finally visited the restaurant in Panchkula, we certainly didn’t expect to be impressed.
While the ride up the elevator to the 4th floor of an almost deserted mall might give you the impression that the rooftop café isn’t worth the hype, stepping inside changes everything. With an ancient Grecian vibe, Diroma Panchkula makes a lasting impression from the moment you walk in. Offering a panoramic view of the Kasauli hills on one side and the cityscape on the other, this rooftop restaurant in Panchkula seems to answer all our prayers. Whether hosting sundowners or brunch soirées, this rooftop spot is a vibe in itself. More on it in the following section. Keep scrolling!
Diroma Panchkula: Where Ancient Athens Vibe Meets Modern Rooftop Ambience
As you exit the elevator, a chic reception area awaits you. After meeting the staff, P and I opened the door, stepped outside, and were truly mesmerised. A vast rooftop café with massive pillars that seem straight out of Athens’ Acropolis makes a striking first impression. As we started exploring, we noticed how beautifully the seating tables on the rooftop were interspersed with small fountains and water ponds.

The next thing that drew us in was the massive rooftop bar. Resting on two ancient Grecian statues, the bar certainly is the centrepiece of this rooftop restaurant in Panchkula. We then checked out the indoor seating area, which was as aesthetically pleasing as the outdoor space. The large windows on one side offer a breathtaking view of the city, while the massive glass doors fill the indoor space with natural light. A win-win either way! We found a spot next to the bar and DJ console, settled in, and began scouting the menu for dishes we wanted to try!

Diroma Panchkula: Relish an Endless Feast of Hearty Treats & Zesty Drinks
Diroma Panchkula has a well-thought-out menu (both food and drinks) with a balance of finger foods, appetisers, mocktails, cocktails, and hearty meals. What I personally loved about their menu was that, from each cuisine, they offered popular dishes with their own twist. Whether it’s Asian, North-Indian, Italian, or Continental, they have every popular dish to make your dining experience unforgettable. But, in the end, it all comes down to taste. And, there too, we were pleasantly surprised by this rooftop bar and kitchen in Panchkula.
Our server helped us select the specials in mocktails. We ordered Diroma’s Garlic Cheese Knots and Chilli Chicken, paired with Diroma Berry and Basil Tangerine Mojito. After placing the order, we began capturing this beautiful rooftop restaurant on camera. Another thing that totally won us over was their service. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and well-acquainted with the special dishes. And the icing on the cake was the bartender, who, with his liquid manoeuvres, created entertaining and engaging theatrics. We loved it.
After about 15 minutes, our mocktails arrived along with the Chilli Chicken. The presentation of the mocktails was top-notch. And let me tell you, the taste was even better. The Diroma Berry was punchy yet refreshing, while the Tangerine Mojito was a perfect balance of tangy and sweet. As for the Chilli Chicken, it was served with a refreshing salad and looked extremely appetising. The taste was spot on—a burst of sweet, spicy, and slightly tangy flavours that delighted our taste buds and took them on a delicious ride.
Next came the Garlic Cheese Knots, and let me tell you, this dish surprised us. It was refreshing, unique, and packed with a whole lot of flavour and cheese. We relished every bite, and before we knew it, we had finished our meal sooner than we thought!
Diroma Panchkula: Is it Worth the Hype? Prinkled’s Parting Thoughts!
Absolutely! Though the pricing is a bit on the higher side, the flavours and experience is totally worth it. We enjoyed a lazy Sunday afternoon until the golden hour with zesty drinks and mouth-watering treats. It’s definitely a must try and we hope to visit this rooftop restaurant in Chandigarh again to soak in the evening vibe too.
