It’s time for agents Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden to take over as Prime Video’s Citadel just dropped the first 2 episodes. Fans had been excited to see her in an action-packed avatar since the announcement about Richard And Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel was made. And, in the past few years, the leaks from the sets added fuel to that excitement.
The trailer of the series featuring Stanley Tucci as well added to the excitement. And, with names like The Russo Brothers, and David Weil in the mix as producers and director, viewers couldn’t have asked for more!
Now that the first two episodes of Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel dropped on Prime Video on Friday, Prinkled couldn’t help but hop onto the bandwagon. Like everyone, we too wanted to see what Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden as Spy agents bring to the table!
So, we’ve penned what we felt after watching Priyanka as Nadia Sinh and Richard Madden as Mason Kane in this new spy universe. Read on!
Stylish Action Sequences: Highlight Of Citadel
Be it a fight in a small restroom of a train or a blazing gunfight, Priyanka and Richard serve up enough action sequences in complete Bourne style. Priyanka adds just the right amount of sizzle and oomph to her stunts and it’s this ability in her that reminds us why we missed her so much. With it, she makes a mark for herself as a lead actor in a Hollywood project and we can’t wait to see what’s more up her sleeve!

Richard, on the other hand, is bang on with his Hollywood-style kicks and fists to beat the crap out of anyone coming in the way of his mission. And, he does all that in quite an understated style. He is the handsome spy you wouldn’t mind rooting for every time he’s fighting off a bad guy. Watch out for his camaraderie with Stanley Tucci in small portions, they’ll make you chuckle!
Citadel’s Simplistic Storyline But ENTERTAINING!
Source: Prime Video/YouTubeTwo divine-looking agents (seemed to be romantically involved) working for the ‘mother’ of all intelligence agencies, Citadel, chase after the bad guys. But, in this, they become a target themselves in an attempt to wipe off the name of the agency from the face of the earth. What follows is a chain of events where Priyanka and Richard have no memory of who they are and, hence, are leading their own normal lives.

Cut to when their world gets rattled again when Stanley Tucci (Bernard Orlick) contacts Richard again in an attempt to stay a step ahead of the bad guys. Sounds like a familiar spy thriller plot, isn’t it? But, the strength of Citadel seems to be lying in the simplistic plot so far which keeps you engaged and entertained!
Source: Prime Video/YouTubeSome folks may argue that it is way too simple for its own good, but as of now, we feel there may be quite a few surprises in store in the upcoming episodes and we’re prepared to be patient! While we do know who the good guys are at the end of episode 2, the glimpses of what’s coming in further episodes leave room for speculation about the good, bad, and ugly. And, that’s kind of a cliffhanger that’ll keep you excited for more!
