Being the foodies that we are, there is always a chance you will find us scouting for a new place in the city, especially on a Saturday afternoon. Last Saturday, keeping up with this, P and I headed for lunch at 35 Brewhouse in Chandigarh – JW Marriott’s very own microbrewery and kitchen. While we love to enjoy a cold beer on a hot summer afternoon, the agenda wasn’t to get sloshed but to see if the place was worth the hype.
And, what happened that afternoon made it a Saturday to remember for us. Read on!
A Rustic Ambience Meant For You To Relax
As soon as you make your way to JW Marriott, Chandigarh, you see a huge signboard pointing you towards the outdoor seating of 35 Brewhouse. However, given that we went on a hot summer afternoon, we chose to go through the hotel lobby. As soon as we entered the microbrewery, we were greeted with a smile from the server who took us to our table.
Source: PrinkledAs we began to settle in, I couldn’t help but notice how rustic yet classy the interiors of the lounge were. A sturdy bar counter with comfy high chairs certainly catches your eye first. This is followed by the observation of Beer-inspired quotes on the walls that will evoke a chuckle or two out of you.
Source: PrinkledThe wooden interiors and interesting wall art complement the open outdoor seating pretty well. But, given that it was a peak summer afternoon, the outdoor seating seemed to be closed off. But, we’re sure on a breezy evening, it would be a perfect setting to chill with your friends over a mug of your favourite craft beer.
35 Brewhouse in Chandigarh certainly impressed us with its interiors. But, the real test was yet to come and it was all about their craft beer.

35 Brewhouse In Chandigarh: Good Ol’ Craft Beer Gets An Upgrade!
For those who enjoy fresh craft beer more than bottled one, taste does matter. At 35 Brewhouse, our motivation was to taste how their brews are and whether they are worth the hype. All things considered, we didn’t know we were in for a shocker. First things first, as soon as you settle in, the server gets you beer tasters so that you can pick your brew. The afternoon we went, we got to taste 3 different fresh beers which included Hafe Weizen, IPA and German Lager.
Source: PrinkledFresh, malty and absolutely refreshing, all three craft beers were totally worth the hype. Those who enjoy their beers would find 35 Brewhouse’s brews to be quite good. While P didn’t seem to be in for any of these, I liked the German Lager and ordered it. P, on the other hand, stuck to his favourite bottled beer and ordered a pint. While we waited for the beers to be served to us, the server brought nibbles for us to munch on with the lager.

Variety Is The Spice Of Life: Food Options Galore At 35 Brewhouse!
With a good lager, all you need is delicious food and voila, you’ll be having the time of your life. And, to make this happen, 35 Brewhouse has one of the most amazingly varied menus that offers foodies the best of everything. From Indian to Chinese to Continental, you could literally find every popular dish on their menu to go along with your lager. We were in the mood for a pizza and we glanced over that section on the menu.
Source: PrinkledIn Woodfired Pizzas too, 35 Brewhouse gave us several options to pick from. Finally, we ordered Murgh Makhani Pizza to enjoy with our beers and while we waited, we clicked several photos of this amazing lounge-microbrewery for you all. Being attentive and quick in service, the server brought us our Woodfired Pizza in the next 15 minutes. And, as soon as he brought it, we quickly took some photos and dug right in.
Source: PrinkledSmokey, Spicy, Saucy, Wholesome and Delicious. This is how I’d describe the Murgh Makhani Pizza at 35 Brewhouse. The pizza was huge for 2 people, packed with flavours and moist enough. And, the best part, it went really well with the beers we had ordered. So, the mission was accomplished perfectly!
While we didn’t try out anything else considering we were full after the wholesome meal. But, it does seem that everything will be up to similar standards at 35 Brewhouse!
Prinkled’s Parting Thoughts: We totally loved 35 Brewhouse in Chandigarh and feel that if one really wants to try out good craft beer, they should head here without second thoughts. While it may seem a little heavy on the pocket, it makes up for it in ambience, food and smashing beer!
